New Home Sales vs. Resale Home Purchase

Steve Ostrom and Desirée Pointer, discuss and debate the positives to a buyer’s route of buying a new home OR purchasing a resale home. Listen to the video and always explore the benefits to which can offer, as it’s not as simple as a decision as one might think. Many new home builders are often offering many great items to encourage the new home sales, but always keep your real estate radar tuned to what a resale home might offer you.

Desirée Pointer has extensive experience used to work in new home sales so mixed with resale she can bring to the table both sides …  Also Desirée and Steve Ostrom discuss how to maximize your new home sales purchase and the advantages of having an agent.

Disclosure: Steve Ostrom and Desiree Pointer no longer work together, but continue to have an awesome business relationship.

Great topic. Sometimes the new sales do tend to be the higher ones. I saw some newer construction recently in the Lincoln Crossing area and the builder has a huge sign on Highway 65 saying “we’ll pay your HOA fees for one year” or something to that effect. This alone tells me there is room for buyers to negotiate with builders since the builders have room to include concessions like that. Back when the market was hot builders didn’t have to include offers like that to attract buyers, but now buyers are in the driver’s seat so to speak. Nice video.
